In 2009, Green Ginger’s founder Terry Lee and his partner Laurence De Jonge, established a sister company in France. The new organisation, known as Les Green Ginger is based in a beautiful barn conversion in rural Ardennes, close to the Belgian border. Here, Terry and Laurence have continued to create new touring shows, while developing a reputation for VoxPups; short and funny puppetry-based films created in residencies and working in close association with various social groups. Ranging from school children and care-home residents to life-term prisoners, these groups narrate their personal stories but speak freely through puppets and in complete anonymity; safe in the knowledge that their words will be lip-synched to the puppets in the final film.
