A tale of two pirate radio stations anchored in the same murky waters just off the South Wales coast. One transmits from a rusting steamship, whilst its arch-rival broadcasts from a submarine lurking just beneath the oil-slicked surface. Something has to give... or be taken.

RUST is a fast-moving story of truth and treachery, piracy and passion, sex and death. Grotesque puppets, animated sets, special effects and absurd humour are welded together in a dark comic-book vision of low-life on high seas.

RECENT PRESS (Nov 2009):

"Deliciously deranged...blissfully bizarre."
METRO ****

"Ingeniously dark aesthetic"
THE TIMES

"Told with boisterous good nature and a huge amount of energy...there are elements of Rust which you think must have been created under the influence of questionable substances but the script is erudite. It is grounded in story progression and is snappy and full of unruly humour. Rust is classily absurd, anarchic stuff with a heart. That's a combination worth travelling for."
BRITISH THEATRE GUIDE

"Radical and edgy are used to describe Green Ginger and their touring show Rust continues their reputation. Stunning....extraordinary visual images. The audience absolutely loved it, they were clearly enjoying themselves hugely."
SATURDAY REVIEW / BBC RADIO 4

"A lusciously dark, cartoon aesthetic...their puppets are gorgeous".
CULTURE WARS

"Brimming over with briny ingenuity...you'll marvel at the grossly meticulous craftsmanship that has gone into the making and manipulation of these freakish creatures."
